Susan Striepe—Translation to Teaching

I think that the exercises that we did in class have given me a practical approach to infusing the class with creativity. I felt the element of mystery, of not knowing where Lauren was going with an exercise took me off guard. If I can capture that essence and release that perfume in the classroom, magic will happen. I also thought her concepts of restriction e.g. time and/or materials translate strongly into creativity. So, to sum up I would say that what I have learned this week will inform the creative aspect of the art classroom.
